Schoneveld Breeding is synonymous with strong genetics, sharing knowledge and constant innovation.
The company is known for its wide and extensive range of compact and abundantly flowering pot plants including Cyclamen and Primula. The distinctive characteristics are:
- abundant and uniform blooms
- long flower life
- compact and round plant structure
- firm flower stems
The priority for numbers of blooms and flower life stems from the initial breeding activities, and is partly a result of good working relationships with traders, retail traders and florists and taking good note of their remarks. The Super Serie® ‘Original’® (1996) had an average of no less than 165 flowers per plant and its introduction was therefore a tremendous leap forward on the quality of Cyclamen at that time.
Also the uniformity of blooms and round plant structure make our products extremely suitable for automated growing. Due to increasing production scales and automation, but also from an efficient use of space perspective, characteristics such as plant structure and firm flower stems are considered even more important.
Schoneveld Breeding's plants are strong and have abundant blooms in combination with high ornamental value. These attributes give the plants a long flower life throughout the chain, including retail, and this means we can ultimately give consumers the product they may expect from us: a long-lasting flowering plant for indoor or outdoor use.
